Shanya Speller also known as
Lady S. by many people in spoken
word venues was born and raised
in Philadelphia, PA. She is a very
proud Philadelphian and feels that
her culture as well as mere survival
instincts and street intelligence
come from her upbringing there.
Just after graduating high school
Shanya moved to Fayetteville, NC.
She attended Methodist University
to receive her undergraduate
degree, and then continued
at Fayetteville State University
receiving a MA in Sociology.
During her time in Philadelphia
and Fayetteville Shanya spent her
free time writing. Writing poetry was an outlet, a goal, a blessing and a
gift for her. Shanya has written poetry for as long as she can remember,
stating that even her scribble scrabble was poetry.
Timothy Edwards
Timothy Edwards is a multi-talented
artist from Philadelphia, PA. He began
exercising his vocal talents at the young
age of seven years old, while singing
in a traveling church choir with his
family. Timothy became interested
in rap at the age of nine and later
began to explore the Spoken-Word
genre. Timothy has performed in and
participated in several competitions
throughout the Philadelphia metro
area. His talents include singing,
rapping, spoken word and writing.
Timothy writes the majority of his
songs and is working with Just Business
Entertainment on a new album.
